With the SPE CSS you can measure the count, shape, and size of a wide range of particles from 2 µm - 5000 µm. on filter membranes. Equipped with fully automated image acquisition and analysis /documentation units the system provides reproducible results regarding the size and shape of particle contamination within just a few minutes.
The size and quantity of the particles measured on these filters are used to compare the cleanliness of the components to standard quality requirements like ISO 16232 or to the specific requirements defined by the operator. It is also applicable for the control of hydraulic oil contamination according to the standards ISO 4406, SAE 4058, NAS 1638, or internal standards set by the user. It provides pass or fail report levels.
The system is fully automated with features such as auto-focus, illumination feedback, binarization threshold, and a sample/objective changer making it is easy to use. The device is compliant with 21 CFR Part 11. Pharmaceutical applications include: incoming packaging material control, foreign particulate matter counting in accordance to USP <788>, and enumeration of foreign particulate matter in nasal drug products (OINDP).
